About ACM

The R.V.R & J.C ACM Student Chapter The Forerunners (160342) is the official student chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery at Rayapati Venkata Ranga Rao & Jagarlamudi Chandramouli College of Engineering, established by the Nagarjuna Education Society in 1985. Standing as the "Jewel in the Crown" of the society's commitment to education, literature, and culture, our institution has long been a home for academic excellence and holistic growth.

Through this chapter, members gain access to technical workshops, coding contests, guest lectures, research opportunities, and collaborative projects, along with participation in local, regional, and global ACM competitions. We strive to create a community where curiosity is nurtured, skills are sharpened, and ideas are transformed into impact.

Guided by our motto, "Knowledge Is Power," the RVR & JC ACM Student Chapter was founded to bring together students who believe in the transformative power of technology to solve real-world problems. As an affiliate of ACM the world's largest educational and scientific computing society our chapter connects students to a vast global network of educators, researchers, and professionals dedicated to advancing computing as a science and a profession.

Our Vision

To create an ecosystem of learning and innovation within RVR & JC College of Engineering, where students evolve into skilled computing professionals, driven by curiosity, collaboration, and a commitment to solving real-world challenges through technology. Through this ecosystem, we aim to instill a lifelong passion for learning that extends well beyond the classroom.

Our Mission

To provide students with a platform to explore, learn, and excel in diverse domains of computer science and emerging technologies through workshops, hackathons, and hands-on projects.

To connect students with the global ACM community, enabling access to valuable resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities with industry leaders and academicians.

To encourage active participation in local, regional, and international competitions, empowering members to showcase, refine, and validate their skills on wider platforms.
